2018 Kitchen Design Trends
February 09, 2018 in As Featured On, Trends | 2 comments

Every year it is interesting to see what looks and styles are trending, especially in kitchen design. Although some of these elements are not necessarily new, they are definitely expected to be as popular as ever in 2018.  Here’s some of the top trends we love and you can expect to see in 2018 when it comes to kitchens.

Two-Tone Finishes

Cabinets and islands in contrasting finishes are a popular design detail for 2018. It adds dimension and interest to a kitchen. It is also a fun way to bring in some color, especially if you can’t commit to just one! If this trend intrigues you, experiment with a contrasting islands as this is a much smaller fixture in a kitchen.

Statement Hoods

Statement hoods certainly jazz up a kitchen. Hoods with metal work or special wood detailing can add some real character to your home.

Solid Backsplash

A solid piece of stone, quartz, or marble can create a seamless and clean look to a kitchen. It can feel be both modern and traditional, but no matter the setting it always feels luxurious.

Colors (Other Than White)

White kitchens always look like a dream, but the right paint color can make your kitchen feel just as timeless. We love shades of blue or this dramatic black color for a real bold style statement.

Wood Details
Wood beam work, hoods, or countertops are another trend that is warming up kitchens. Wood detailing adds texture, warmth, and character.

If you don’t want to commit to wood elements, but like this trend we recommend styling your kitchen with wooden accessories like cutting boards and bowls. This trend is very accessible!

Incorporating any of these updated details can give your kitchen a classic refresh. If you want help with your kitchen, we can help make the process easy. First fill out our design questionnaire and you will be one step closer to having your kitchen feel just like new.
