Parade Home Update: Cabinets & Millwork
March 21, 2014 in Parade of Homes | no comments

Raquel & I were out in Spicewood last week for a new design project.  I took a wrong turn out of the subdivision and literally ended up on the road the Parade Home is on.  So, of course we had to make a quick detour to see the latest updates!

Austin parade of homes exterior

The exterior is coming along and looking great.  But, I am 100% an interiors girl, so we went straight on inside.  I was so excited to see the cabinets installed and painted!  The house is really starting to take shape.

This was our first view inside:

great room and kitchen

You can’t help but say ‘wow’ when you walk in the front doors.  The kitchen looks amazing with the high ceiling.  And look at all the cabinetry from the other side:

I love a white kitchen, but it is also fun to mix things up, so in the laundry room we went with “Blue Spruce” by Benjamin Moore on the cabinets.

Do you remember my shade fabric for in here?

It is going to be a fun room!

One other area I am really excited about is the doors.  I wanted to do something different this time around, so I asked if we could paint the interior doors black… and they look so good!

These doors are on the upstairs guest bedroom closet.  Look at the inside of that closet- when is the last time you saw a builder put that kind of shelving in a guest bedroom?  Silverton Custom Homes really builds an excellent home.

Here are a few more doors just waiting to be put in place….

Another fun area of cabinetry is the master bath.

Of course ‘she’ gets this amazing cabinet with lots of room for all the ‘product’ we ladies need…

Silverton also built in this fabulous little linen cabinet between the entry and the shower.  Great use of space!

Just a quick look at a couple of other areas:

The media room beverage area

And the dining room ceiling

Finally, look hard and you can see the most recent addition, a new infinity pool off the back patio!  Hello, can I live here?

Still, I will be most excited when the furniture goes in, the art and drapes are hung and the house starts to look like a home.  Less than 6 weeks to go!  We still have a lot to get done, so I better get back to it!
