When it comes to interior design, blending antiques with new furniture can create a space that feels both timeless and intentional. We designed a Georgetown bedroom and bathroom by integrating a few heirloom pieces with thoughtful updates.

We incorporated our client’s antique lamps and for a modern touch added freshly white drum shades. An upholstered headboard and a gild starburst mirror tie the room together perfectly. Linen draperies and natural wood woven shades provide a subtle backdrop, allowing the furniture pieces to take center stage.

The focal point of the bedroom is a stunning antique chaise lounge that has been passed down through generations. We reupholstered it in a rich velvet that brings a sense of history and luxury to the room.

In the adjacent bathroom, a clean, transitional design sets the stage for relaxation. The sleek mirrors, mix of metal finishes, and touches of blue maintain the sense of cohesion throughout the primary suite.

This design showcases how the juxtaposition of antiques with updated furnishings can create a curated space that honors the past while embracing the present.
