Northwest Hills Install
December 11, 2020 in Interiors Tour | no comments

In one of our last install’s of the year, our team wrapped up a project in the Northwest Hills neighborhood, a scenic and serene suburb in northwest Austin. The goal was to create a cozy main living space with different layers of texture and a fresh color scheme for our clients. We also wanted to incorporate a fabulous new custom built-in to truly transform the space to their style and tastes.

The new custom built-in cabinet, painted in Benjamin Moore Blue Echo adds a striking element to the space. It offers plenty of storage and a grid of shelves to be styled above. Antique brass and bronze sconces and hardware add even more style to the new storage solution. The built-in also gives a proper home to our client’s record player and record collection.

Here is another view of the built-in above. As for the furnishings, we incorporated a classic chesterfield sofa in a coordinating textured blue velvet to ground the space. It adds a classic, cozy element to the updated living room. We also layered an oversized jute rug with a vintage-style rug in muted shades of rust, blues and tan to bring in more warmth, texture and color.

Concrete lamps and a distressed wood console add to the collected look of the living room.

Durable leather club chairs add even more depth and warmth to the hip living room. A dark wood coffee table with turned legs add another timeless element to the living space.

Colorful pillows bring in more pops of fresh color and help tie the look together.

In this project, we also freshened up the home’s dining room, which due to the floor plan, also acts as the home’s entry. We worked with our client’s existing table and console, but provided an update with new chairs, lighting, art, and rug. Since these rooms open up to each other, we wanted the color scheme to be consistent. We incorporated texture, warmth and more hints of blue to keep these rooms cohesive and coordinated.

Here’s another view of the oversized navy glass lamps, pillows and art that added a stylish pop of color to the home’s stone wall.

This was such a fun project to install and showcase today. For more details on this project, be sure to follow our stories and social media posts about this home.
