April certainly flew by! In our last “What’s New Wednesday” post for the month, we wanted to share some of the features and awards we have recently received on Houzz. From the Best of Houzz Awards to the Top Ten Most Popular Living Spaces, here is a look at what’s new on our Houzz!

Best of Houzz 2020 Awards
The Best of Houzz Awards are a guide to the top residential remodeling professionals on Houzz, including kitchen and bath remodelers, architects, interior designers, landscape pros, and more. This exclusive award recognizes just three percent of the more than 2.5 million active home professionals and interior and architectural designers on the Houzz platform. It is awarded annually in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography. This year the Heather Scott Home & Design team has been awarded with Best of Customer Service and Best of Design. Our team has consistently been awarded with a Best of Houzz recognition since 2013. We are proud of this accomplishment!

Featured on Houzz: “The Most Popular Living Rooms So Far in 2020”
This month Houzz rounded up the 10 most popular living rooms by designers across the nation. Our Montana Dog House living room made the list, appropriately named a “serene sanctuary.” A similarity in each of the welcoming and stylish living spaces is a simple color palette and casual furnishings that have drawn lots of Houzz user fanfare to these popular living rooms. Here is a link to the article.

“Three main colors — black, white and wood tones — and an effective use of symmetry create a calm, serene space that puts the focus on the mountain and river views surrounding this home in Ennis, Montana.”
-Mitchell Parker (Houzz editorial staff)
“Picture Perfect: 24 Big Ideas for Compact Homes”
In this article, the Houzz editorial team rounded up 24 projects from all over the globe on ideas for compact homes. With projects from Singapore, London, Paris, and Rome, our project in Austin, TX is included in the mix.
