Today we continue to tour our latest project with you. Last week we introduced you to the main spaces in this Lakeway home. In case you missed it, we have included a link to the blog. On today’s tour, we will step into the powder bath, master bedroom suite, and office. We hope you enjoy!
Our client wanted a Parisian feel for the powder bath. We toyed with the idea of covering the walls in a Schumacher wallpaper, “La Cite” a reproduction of Paris’s Turgot Map, originally published in 1739. After weighing the different options we settled on custom framing a large scale Paris map in a gilded gold frame. It is paired with a subtle and soft wallpaper. Sconces and a mirror with an old world feel tie this pretty powder together. We customized a hand towel with a monogram, which hangs on a stylish lucite and gold holder for the “European flair with Southern warmth” feel.
Here’s another detail shot of the powder.
For the master bedroom, we wanted to keep with the same serene feeling as the main spaces. Ethereal blues with hints of blush gives the homeowners a calm and peaceful retreat to settle into.
Of course on the bedding you will find monograms. A bright pink tassel adds a fun pop to the lamp. This is such a simple design hack that can give your lamp a fresh new look.
A cozy reading chair paired with a brass reading lamp adds another sweet moment to the space.
The master bath has a beautiful and dramatic built-in. All of the faucets were upgraded to a brushed gold option. To add a little more charm to the space, we added mother of pearl knobs to tie in with all of the soft details of the master bedroom.
More brushed gold plumbing and monograms can be found on the shower/tub wall. A soft fold roman shade accents the tub window.
In the home’s office, you will find a grey blue secretary desk with a soft ivory interior. It is paired with a quatrefoil motif design chair. It is covered in a blue toile fabric.
Next we will wrap up this series by touring the guest bedrooms, loft and casita. As a reminder, we will close early on Wednesday, November 27th. We will also be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
