Interiors Tour: Portofino Glam, Kitchen and Family Room
July 19, 2019 in Interiors Tour, Uncategorized | no comments

On today’s blog, we are continuing our tour of our Portofino Glam project. Today we will step into the remodeled kitchen and family room.

In order to capture the clean, modern look that our client’s wanted for their home, the kitchen needed quite a few cosmetic updates. One upgrade included a new kitchen island. We selected Silestone Calcutta Gold for a clean and timeless look on the island, while the countertops on perimeter of the kitchen were replaced in a contrasting black stone. A marble backsplash in a chevron pattern adds another dash of texture and interest to the kitchen.

To finish off the updates to the kitchen, we painted the cabinets in Benjamin Moore “Cloud Cover” and added stylish new satin brass hardware to the cabinet fronts. When it came to the decorative finishes, we wanted the lighting and furnishings to highlight all of the new kitchen updates. A pair of sparkling pendants add a hint of glam to the kitchen and new white counterstools with a bronze metal detail add to the modern, clean feel of the space.

To the left of the kitchen, you will find a cozy family room. We wanted this room to look tailored, but also liveable. We used our client’s existing art and sofa as the jumping off point for the design of the space. It felt like new with a fresh mix of pillows including, a pair of striped velvet pillows in white and grey. To tie in the signature luxe look of this Positano Glam home, we added an antiqued mirror coffee table and a pair of champagne faux lizard ottomans to fill the space.

We have one last room to tour in this space. Be sure to follow along!
