Before & After: Stone Oak San Antonio Game Room
June 14, 2019 in Before & After | 2 comments

Just in time for Father’s Day weekend, we wanted to share a sleek makeover of a game room in one of San Antonio’s most up-and-coming neighborhoods, Stone Oak. This particular space is from one of our commercial projects; however, the layout and style of the space can be replicated in a home as a masculine game room, den or man cave. Here’s a look at how this drab space was transformed into a cool, masculine space for games and more.

Game Room, BeforeĀ

In this project, the space was simply being used as an extra conference room. It had an overflow of black leather office chairs and dated carpet. It also had an awkward step-up that was limiting the functionality of the space.

The plan was to reconfigure this private room and transform it into the property’s game room. It would also be a place that residents could rent out for parties, events, TV viewing parties, and more.

Game Room, After:

Now this space is a cool, functional space to lounge and game! A modern mix of colors, textures and furnishings make this game room inviting. We leveled the floor, which made the game room much larger and allowed for it to be divided into three sections: one section for a billiards table, a TV section, and a bar area for additional lounging.

The conference room furniture was replaced with a custom billiards table with a rich blue cloth. It is one of the stars of the space. It especially pops next to the black and white photographs of San Antonio hot spots. It makes the space feel even more custom and edgy.

In addition to leveling the floor, the other major makeover in the space is the new carpet. We replaced the dated ornate fabric with a much more stylish modern option. With a color scheme of primarily cool blues and grays, the rich tobacco tan leather chairs add the perfect amount of warmth to the space. They also offer a laid-back place to relax and watch TV.

Last but not least, an oversized wall-mounted Scrabble board paired with a bar table carves out another cool corner in the game room. The new layout and configuration allows for plenty of space for residents to mix and mingle.

If you have a business or home that needs its own unique space, let our team help. We can transform any space to make it both stylish and functional.
