Spotlight on Schumacher
June 07, 2019 in As Featured On | no comments

On Wednesday evening we were invited to a very special Schumacher dinner at Lenoir Petite Maison. The dinner was hosted by Schumacher’s Creative Director, Dara Caponigro. Dara was a magazine editor for more than 30 years, including the editor-in-chief of Veranda magazine, before joining the legendary fabric house. The evening was an intimate dinner to mingle and celebrate the Austin design community. It was such a fun and inspiring event spent with such talented company. Schumacher is a 130 year old company with such a rich heritage and history. Their fabrics and wallcoverings are iconic. They have graced the walls of some of the most elite spaces including the Waldorf-Astoria and the White House. Their ever-evolving product line makes them one of our most trusted resources.

In today’s blog, we are spotlighting some of our favorite spaces that incorporate Schumacher fabrics and wallcoverings. Enjoy!

Queen of Spain

Queen of Spain was introduced in 1963. Its painterly quality and midcentury design make this print a classic. It is available in a handful of colors and as both a fabric and wallcovering. We have used both the wallpaper and fabric before!

Zimba

Another one of Schumacher’s most popular designs is Zimba. It is a unique graphic print that is available in a bunch of fun colorways. It is also available as a wallcovering and fabric.

Chinois Palais

A part of Mary McDonald’s collection, Chinois Palais is another stunning fabric. It is inspired by an antique Chinese silk panel and features exotic birds and cherry blossoms. It is available in seven colorways, and we used the tangerine and blush colors in our projects.

Taj Trellis

Available as a wallcovering only, Taj Trellis is inspired by a carved marble Jali window in Jaipur. The dynamic lattice pattern can enliven any space. Here it is shown in an office, and it is available in five colorways.

Featherfest

Last, but not least, featherfest! It is inspired by an archival print and a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. It is a graphic print of stylized feathers. It is available in six colorways and as a fabric. This wallpaper adds a fun punch to this office entry.
