We hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Today we are touring the study from our ‘Villa Blanca’ project. The study is to the left of the home’s entry, just across from the dining room we toured last week.
The study is a moody alternative to all of the main spaces in the home. Here’s a look inside.
The walls are painted in Sherwin Williams “Distance” (SW 6243). Draperies in a cream fabric with an embroidered Greek-key detail frame the windows. The study also incorporates our client’s father’s desk. We paired it with a storage piece in a rich walnut color to echo with the masculine aesthetic of the space.
A bar cart adds in another handsome element. It is functional to display spirits and glassware. The bottom shelf also easily stores the wireless printer.
The built-in is painted in the same “Distance” paint color. It displays a mix of our client’s books. There are also vintage collectible trucks that were from our client’s father. They certainly pop in the dark blue shelves.
A moody landscape anchors the space. Acrylic and nickel lamps add a modern and polished look to the storage piece.
Navy velvet chairs with a wood frame offers a casual place to sit in the study. Or in little Louis’ case a cozy spot to soak up just the right amount of sun.
If you need helping creating your very own home office, give our team a call. We can provide you with stylish and functional solutions for a space that you’ll love to work in.
As a reminder, we will be closed on Monday, February 18th for a Community Volunteer Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 11 am!
