Before & After: Master Bath Refresh
April 20, 2018 in Before & After | no comments

We have a fun ‘before and after’ post to share with you today! Our clients remodeled and modernized their master bath, but it lacked their signature style and personality. They love bold pieces and they are not afraid to embrace color. We designed some of their main spaces a few years back and we were very familiar with their tastes.

Their master bath was a clean, modern palette that just needed a few decorative elements that would flow with the rest of their home.

Before:

The master bath had beautiful new marble countertops and tile, but the overhead sconces felt a little boring, especially for our clients that love special and glamorous details.

The newly renovated tub area also lacked that dramatic, wow factor.

After:

With a new rug, lighting, and a touch of dramatic wallpaper the master bathroom was transformed! We first swapped the lackluster sconces to a more glamorous and sleek option. The touch of gold really pops against the mirror and all of the other finishes.

Another priority for our client was a vibrant rug. We searched high and low to find the perfect option and found this one-of-a-kind hand-woven rug. It has such vivid, saturated colors. It was perfect for our client and this bathroom refresh! It also accented our client’s existing velvet bench.

Here’s another view of all the unique detailing and raspberry color in the runner.

To make the freestanding tub more of a focal point, we wallpapered the tub niche and ceiling in a moody blue grasscloth wallpaper. It adds some real depth to the space and makes the tub area feel so much more dramatic. A modern gold chandelier pops against the wallpaper and ties in with the new gold vanity sconces.

The texture of the grasscloth paper and the layered design of the chandelier elevate the space.

The jewel-toned rug, wallpaper, and gold lighting make this master bathroom feel so much more custom and special.

Modernizing or refreshing a space does not have to be a headache. Making a space feel more tailored to your style can be a few accessories or details away!
