This week, a quick peek at the stylish design for a powder bath from the town home of Stacey Smith, owner of Found. Stacey is a big fan of animal print, which you can tell as soon as you start looking for clothes at her boutique!
This penchant for animals also translated into the remodel of her new home, including in the powder bath!
BEFORE:
The powder bath is quite petite, as you would expect, so it did not take much to make an impact. The existing room was painted a bold green, had bronze hardware, and a really old toilet.
AFTER:
New mirror, new counter top, faucet/hardware and toilet. Stacey is a big fan of brass and you will see that metal used throughout the home. The mirror adds interest and does not have a ‘metal’ finish. With brass on the faucet and chrome on the door, sometimes you want to avoid adding another metal finish to the mix.
Also, don’t miss the detail on the door. Since this is a unique space, this room got unique hardware. A square crystal knob on a square metal back-plate makes the entry to this room just a touch more special. Design is all about the details!
Next week, we look at the major master bath remodel. The final result is a room that feels twice as big as it did, with no changes to the actual footprint! Stay tuned….
Love it! And love that square hardware. Bravo!!!
