The Heather Scott Home & Design team partnered with Bigelow Homes to furnish their newest model home in Kyle, Texas. With homes starting in the $180’s, these are sure to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
The community is designed to encourage hanging out on the front or back porch and playing on the large open lawns that the front of the homes face (with garages being entered at the rear of the house).
Our team had a fun time selecting furnishings from a vibrant palette of blues and greens though out the main spaces as well as some pinks and purples for the little girl’s room and a mother in law quarters above the garage.
If you live in the Kyle area, be sure to stop by and see the home!
Main living space: Family, Kitchen and Dining
Comfortable, approachable and casual, we designed this space to facilitate families spending time together in the large, open floor plan.
As the place to ‘retreat’, this large master was furnished with an impressive king bed and still has room for a dresser and large reading chair. We ‘upped’ the glamour factor here with emerald-green silk drapes.
At the top of the landing is a fun place for the kids to hang and watch movies or play games. We continued the blue and green theme in here with blue and white striped drapery panels and colorful accent pillows.
Girl’s Bedroom and Bathroom
What a sweet and dreamy space for a little girl! This space includes butterflies, mermaids and a custom gallery wall with inspirational quotes.
In Law Suite
A separate space above the garage, this one bedroom suite boasts a sitting area, kitchen and bedroom with full bath.
Model merchandising is very different from residential design, where the homeowner tells you their likes and dislikes. Our team had great fun imagining who would live in this home and then selecting all the items for our imaginary family. Our goal is that families who visit the model love the way it looks and can imagine themselves living there for years to come!
