Before & After: Spanish Style
February 19, 2016 in Before & After, Interiors Tour, Regional Style | 7 comments

We are always happy to see our projects installed and wrapped up, but at the same time it is bittersweet.  We have the opportunity to work with some wonderful, lovely people and after you install, you know you won’t be speaking with them or seeing them again on any kind of regular basis.

For this project we worked with a lovely couple with three beautiful young girls.  They wanted to create a bright and lovely home for the next phase in their lives.  We were excited to have a home with wonderful ‘bones’ that just needed a fresh coat of paint and lighter furnishings.

Our before and after’s are at the bottom of the page, but to get us started, we have a beautiful Spanish/ Mediterranean style home with a dining room just off the entry.

Dining Room

Our home’s new color scheme included whites/creams, blush, persimmon and pale blue.  Didn’t I just mention in  the other week’s blog how wonderful it was to get to work with different color palettes and design schemes all the time?

The family room will be used as a more formal space, with the ‘media room’ at the back of the house.  Hard to believe this family has three school aged children, right?  We did use Sunbrella, durable velvets and so on, just in case you’re concerned that we were pushing the envelope on practicality.

Living Room 2

Living Room

The bedroom is a large space complete with sitting area.  We used a large jute rug to unite the two spaces and a softer, washed rug under the bed.  When you walk into the room you just want to sigh with relaxation.

Master Bedroom

This is the family’s ‘everyday’ space, with room for movie watching, doing homework at the round table and playing pool (behind the sofa).  We used Perennials fabric on the sectional (indoor/outdoor) and it looks and feels amazing.

And, here are some before and after’s to give you an idea of what we started with and how we ended!

A lovely home for a lovely family. We have many more projects of many different design styles to blog about through out the year.  We can’t wait to share them with you!
