Parade Home: Studio A Home
March 07, 2014 in Home Furnishings, Parade of Homes | 2 comments

Scott and I were at the Dallas Market in January making our usual jaunt thorough our favorite showrooms, like Global Views and Studio A.  Studio A just keeps growing and they have so many lovely products.  I asked our sales rep if she thought we could get several pieces in time for the Parade Home and I was really excited to find out they could!

One of the most most important rooms in the showhome is the great room.  There will be a wonderful fireplace with stone, and next to it, two niches.

This is what is looked like a couple of weeks ago:

The fireplace section is going to be really special, so we need to make sure it is balanced by something equally amazing on either side.

Each side is going to get the Soleil (Sun) mirror from Studio A in Taupe:

This mirror is going to be incredible at 45”hx41.5”w.  Each one will hang above a lovely painted chest which will be topped with awesome lamps (I can’t show you everything today!).

Speaking of awesome lamps, Studio A makes some wonderful ‘art glass’ lamps.  They are beautiful.  I am really excited to be using a pair of their Amber Ribbed Art Glass lamps in the master bedroom:

They are going to look fabulous next to a Joyce Howell Painting from the Wally Workman Gallery.  I’m not sure which painting, yet, but I definitely have my eye on one!

I am also planning on using one of my favorite fabrics, Zimba, by Schumacher, as the drapery panels.

Another cool piece from Studio A; this little honed marble and plated bronze end table will go next to a side chair:

And, a really cool dresser made of linen and nail heads at the foot of the bed:

Have I mentioned recently how much fun this business is?  Sometimes I get wrapped up in the stress of work and I forget how amazing it is that I get to go out and furnish an entire home top to bottom with the main goal being that people will really enjoy seeing the home!  It doesn’t get much better than that!
