Every time I get to Atlanta I make sure to visit their stores: Mrs. Howard and Max & Company.  They do a great job of making their store look like a home (well, a very large 3 story mansion at any rate).

We were so excited to hear about their new furniture line for Sherrill Furniture, which just debuted at the April High Point market.

Of course, when we saw the upholstery fabric swatches we knew it would be the perfect fit for Heather Scott Home & Design.  Classically elegant, totally timeless but completely comfortable and practical (you can order the furniture with a Teflon finish before it ever leaves the factory!).

We have been waiting for our new sofas, chairs and ottomans to arrive and they are here!

The upholstered pieces are custom made in the USA with the best quality and attention to detail.  You have many fabrics, trims and nail head options to make each piece the perfect reflection of your personality.

Here are some of the pieces we have in stock.  And, just for the record, anything shown in a light fabric already includes Teflon coating- hallelujah, no need to fear for your upholstery’s life!

The lines of this ‘Gatsby’ Chair are very transitional.  Clean lines, waterfall skirt.  Casually elegant.

Dimensions: 31”W x 37”D x 40H

The Bridgewater sofa has an English Arm and tight, but comfortable, back cushions (keeps the house looking neater, with all the cushions where they should be!).  The sofa has a classy nailhead detail at the base on contrast throw pillows in taupe velvet.

This wing chair is so comfortable!  Even Scott, who has very high standards for what qualifies as a ‘comfortable chair,’ pronounced he could “comfortably watch a football game” in this seat.  The way it wraps around you, you feel cocooned and sheltered.  We have 4 of these on order in gray velvet to go in our Southern Living Custom Showcase House.

Wingback Chair

The collection also includes this great little ottoman.  At 30” diameter it can easily tuck into any room.  The casters make it fabulously useful.

Ring-around Foot Stool (on casters)

This classic chair has the timeless English arm blended with a skirted base and sloped back.  The chair is also available in an unskirted version.

We are excited to carry such chic, elegant, and quality pieces to compliment the store. The collaboration of Mr. & Mrs. Howard and Sherrill Furniture for this first collection is quite inspiring.

Scott and I are just back from the fall High Point market where we had the chance to attend Mr. & Mrs. Howard’s party and see all the new pieces.  We can’t wait to share with you what is to come.
