Just a quick post today- I am headed to Round Top market to meet my friend, Kim Hoegger of Kim Hoegger Home. If you want to know more about this fun event, check out her post, here:
Kim Hoegger Home- Marburger Farm Antique Show
I have my shopping list and am hoping to find some unique items for the Southern Living Custom Showcase House, as well as the store.
Speaking of the store, just a few pics to keep you updated on the progress.
Retail store interior (FYI it is getting painted over the next 2 weeks):
Built in bookcases in the back for our hanging fabric swatches
Our new cash counter with much more room to walk between!
My office lobby- look at all that wood just waiting to be painted white (sorry to all the men out there who cringe as I write that!).
New fabrics library
New built in for Heather’s office
New front:
Still waiting for the signage to go on, the lights to go up and the plants to be potted. Then it will look like ‘home’.
The construction should be done within the next couple of weeks. But, we are still waiting on a waste water permit from the city, so we probably won’t be moving in until sometime in November. Hopefully sooner, but it is looking doubtful right now! Well, no matter what, it will be worth the wait!
How exciting Heather and Scott! Your store looks gorgeous! Can’t wait to come to the opening, probably with Sally!

It’s looking fabulous!
