In this home, the young daughter’s bathroom also happens to be the guest bathroom, so while we wanted a youthful look, we were also targeting something that adults could feel comfortable using.
The home is very traditional and the finishes used are all classic elements which should stay in style for years to come. The bath was a minor remodel (nothing structural was moved), we just looked at updating the materials.
Before:
The bulkhead light fixture was removed, along with the builder mirror and cultured marble countertop. All the cabinets remained. The carpet came out, as did all the tilework in the shower area.
This was our color palette:
Soft green/blue with classic white subway tile and an accent tile made of marble and glass.
I found a Carrara marble remnant, with a beautiful edge detail, for a great price, which allowed us to splurge a bit on a custom shower curtain.
After:
Now the family has a fresh, clean and crisp bath with custom details which will be in style for years to come. I don’t know about you, but it makes me want to go tackle my guest bathroom!
Love this bathroom! It makes me want white cabinets again! I actually just painted a sample of BM Healing Aloe on my wall at home but it looks nothing like in this room…is it reduced? It’s looks so much softer in this room.
Thanks Katie! It is healing aloe. There aren’t any windows or natural light in this room, so maybe that is why it looks different? It is a soft color in here. I understand about the white cabinets- they just look fresh and clean!
That is just beautiful, Heather! What a gorgeous bathroom!
Thank you Traci! So glad you like it!
Simply beautiful Heather!! Love it!
Gorgeous Heather!
Beautiful transformation Heather! The gorgeous fabric and glass tile really give a special touch!
I love the glass tile. Would you share the source/ manufacturers name, and name of tile?
All the tile work was purchased through Daltile. The accent tile was a glass and stone in 5/8×5/8 color Green Opal by Vogue Bay. It really looks beautiful in person. Very elegant! So glad you liked.
Hi! I just painted my bedroom healing aloe and I’m having trouble pairing a fabric for draperies. Will you share what fabric that the shower curtain is made from?
It looks like it may have been discontinued. It was from Schumacher. It was a fabric which was more aqua than blue or green.
